simple garlic bread

garlic bread


1 loaf Italian bread or favourite sourdough
6 cloves garlic (finely minced)
6 tablespoons salted butter (softened)
1/2 cups flat leaf parsley (chopped)


  1. Preheat oven to 190C degrees.
  2. Slice loaf across the loaf but do not cut all the way through.
  3. in a medium bowl, combine butter, garlic and parsley.
  4. Spread an even layer over both sides of the slice.
  5. Place loaf on a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before breaking apart and serving.
